The Doing Business of the World Bank Group provides standard measures of business and their enforcement across 190 countries.
Doing Business has shown the business climate through gathering and analyzing comprehensive quantitative data to compare business regulation environments with other countries.
The report also encourages these countries including Laos to compete towards more efficient and standard business regulation.
Lao PDR’s Prime Minister issued the Order No.02/PM dated on February 1, 2018 on improvement of regulations and coordination mechanisms on Doing Business in Lao PDR. The Order aims to improve the country’s business environment, mobilize and attract quality investments, bolster the competitive capacity of domestic businesses, and minimize constraints to make it easy to do business in the Lao PDR.
